LONDON, ON – December 20, 2017 —Northern Commerce announced today they are donating 100 London Lightning tickets to Youth Opportunities Unlimited (YOU) for the Saturday, December 30 game against the Niagara River Lions. This is Northern’s fourth consecutive season sponsoring the London Lightning, and their second year donating tickets to a local charity.

“Youth Opportunities Unlimited is shaping the future of our community and we are very proud to support them through Northern Cares”, says Michael DeLorenzi, President and CEO of Northern. “Through Northern Cares we can work with many great organizations like YOU, and we are looking forward to another exciting season with the London Lightning.”

Youth Opportunities Unlimited is a national leader in social enterprise, offering on-the-job skills training to youth in need. Each year YOU serves over 3,600 individuals between 16 and 30 years of age in London and Strathroy, providing them with the means to take control of their lives. YOU hosts a pop-up shop at Northern during the holidays, selling an assortment of gifts for staff to purchase.

“YOU believes strongly that when the community is engaged, youth will thrive,” says Steve Cordes, Executive Director of Youth Opportunities Unlimited. “We are thrilled to work with Northern to create this opportunity for 100 youth to enjoy this special event.”
